AQUA.abib

Sustainable water desalination by means of the sunlight's energy

Pitch

AQUA.abib commercializes a pyramidal structure that uses the sunlight’s energy to separate water from solutes. The system provides fresh water at a lower price than other present technologies, with almost no carbon footprint and provides salt rather than producing brine. That poses a cutting edge advantage in front of any other state-of-the-art technology.
AQUA.abib will expand geographically and will enter other segments such as islands, touristic resorts and waster water processing, while improving the technology.
Water demand for domestic use and industry will increase up to a 400% for the next three decades, while water resources are reaching their natural limits and fossil aquifers become exhausted. On the other hand most of the population lives close to the seashore and, as a result, the growth of water desalination has accelerated during the last 6 years from 2.5% to 11%.
