Meet our National Lead for Brazil – Impact Hub São Paulo
- What is your background?
We are one of the largest and most respected innovation and impact ecosystems in Brazil. Since 2014, we have accelerated over 560 startups and impact-driven initiatives—many of which are focused on climate solutions that are transforming markets.
Our distinguishing strength lies in our ability to foster a robust network of mentors, investors, and strategic partners. This network enables us to create meaningful connections and support entrepreneurs in becoming transformative agents of change on a global scale.
- Why did you become country leads?
Our designation as the country lead stems from our long-standing commitment to promoting innovation as a catalyst for addressing climate and social challenges. Through structured acceleration programmes and strategic partnerships, we actively contribute to the development of sustainable solutions that generate positive environmental and social impact. Our leadership is demonstrated through the consistent delivery of results-oriented initiatives and the cultivation of collaborative ecosystems.
- Why do you think this competition is so important?
This competition plays a fundamental role in identifying, supporting, and scaling concrete solutions to address global warming. By providing training, mentorship, and access to investment opportunities, it accelerates the development of cleantech innovations that reduce emissions and enhance energy efficiency.
Furthermore, it brings together stakeholders from across the globe—startups, corporations, governments, and civil society—working collectively to drive systemic change with urgency and scale.
- How does your organization support cleantech start ups?
We view climate innovation as a strategic pathway toward a more sustainable and inclusive future. In this context, we support Cleantech startups through specialised programmes such as the Climate Innovation Hub—focused on tech-based solutions for the Amazon—and CarbonX, which accelerates technologies related to carbon capture and energy storage.
Additionally, we are partners of Green Sampa, a public-private initiative that connects key players in the green economy and fosters the development of environmentally responsible technologies with high social impact.
Through these and other efforts, we are committed to enabling the growth of startups that are shaping the green transition.
