Communications coordinator ClimateLaunchpad

As communications coordinator for ClimateLaunchpad you will be the organizer of all central ClimateLaunchpad content. ClimateLaunchpad
ClimateLaunchpad is a competition for green business ideas. Our mission is to unlock green business potential and create opportunities for innovators to address climate change in Europe. ClimateLaunchpad is currently organised in 30 countries by local organisations. The central team, based in the Netherlands, provides these organisations with the material they need to run the competition. We are looking for a communications coordinator to join the central team in the Netherlands.
The Job
It will be your job to uphold and execute the communications strategy that has been developed. Some goals you will be working towards are to increase the number of applications and to connect a network of corporates and other interesting parties to the competition. Working with content producers (e.g. video editor, graphic & website designer, copywriter) you are responsible for content marketing, managing workflow, maintaining publishing infrastructure, and making sure everyone has the information and assets they need to do their jobs. A project manager of communications, as it were, with an additional executing role.
You:
- Work as a freelancer and are available for 26 to 32 hours per week for the duration of 2017.
- Care for the topic of climate change.
- Enjoy managing social media: you will be executing the social media strategy to create more brand awareness for ClimateLaunchpad as well as connect to our existing community.
- Can work independently and autonomously.
- Are social and do not shy away from getting the information you need, nor from keeping yourself and others to deadlines.
- Structure and overview are your middle names.
- Are fluent in English. ClimateLaunchpad is an international competition and you will communicate with many different nationalities.
- Enjoy writing: you will do a fair deal of content writing yourself.
The Team
The ClimateLaunchpad central team is a small team of (mostly) freelancers, working from various places in the Netherlands with a base in Utrecht. The team is embedded in the network of Climate-KIC and organisations across the world which organise the competition.
