This year was the first time ClimateLaunchpad started the search for cleantech heroes in Lithuania. On the 29-30th of May 12 teams with different ideas on how to tackle climate change were gathered to gain some knowledge about business making. In the 2-day intensive Boot Camp realization models of ideas were questioned, analyzed and outlined into the final pitches. Here you can find a list of teams and short descriptions of their ideas:
Aimo – an app that offers a simple and fast way of finding passengers for empty seats in your car or finding someone who has those emty seats for you.
CITY is a LAB – a successful model of efficient and modern sustainability oriented education & experimenting platform in order to help urban communities in transition towards sustainability.
CleanTastic – food contaminated plastic waste washing line and supply of specially selected micro organisms mixes according to clients needs.
PharmaPatrol – smartbox for pharmaceutical waste collection.
Laserpas – low CO2 emission data collection and analysis for large scale industrial companies.
Global Clean Advertising Technology – certification of advertisements according to impact on the environment.
My H2O – hot and cold tap water in major European cities on the go.
Hybrid energy segment of sun, wind and water – technical mechanism which combines three natural energy sources and converts energy to electricity.
Peer to ESCo – lending platform, which connects investors and energy efficiency projects.
Collect & Reflect – thermal blinds that collect or reflect solar energy depending on season and outside temperature.
Footprint – impact label certification service to business companies.
BioPlastics from cellulose nano crystals – nanocrystals extracted by using simple, existing and low energy input technology fiber plants.
In the next few weeks these 12 start-ups will work on their ideas and pitch them in the National Final on July 8th.
