Our Team for Australia
Good to know:
In Australia we are running Boot Camps in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
After boot camps and training, all teams will have the opportunity to pitch in front of judges at pitch panels within their city, and the top 2 from each city will move onto the Australian National Finals, which will be held in Brisbane in August. Teams will pitch to industry-renowned judges and the top 2 teams will represent Australia at the Global Grand Final.
Climate-KIC Australia will provide travel scholarships for those selected to attend the National Finals and Global Finals.
Meet your National Leads of ClimateLaunchpad Australia
What is your background?
ClimateLaunchpad will be coordinated in 2020 by Jessica Hyne – Climate-KIC Australia’s marketing and communications lead, Will Soutar – Climate-KIC Australia’s director of business development, and Belinda Whelan – Climate-KIC Australia’s director of strategic projects. With our strong networks within the industry, our experience with running the ClimateLaunchpad program in Australia, and experience in harnessing innovation to build and drive high performance teams, the Climate-KIC Australia ClimateLaunchpad team is well equipped to point the next generation of climate change innovators in the right direction.
Why did you become a National Lead?
Climate-KIC Australia offers a new way to link businesses, entrepreneurs, research, investors, and government to address the challenges and harness the opportunities of climate change. We are a sister organisation to EIT Climate-KIC.
How does your organisation support clean tech start-ups?
We offer a suite of innovation and education programs built on the experience of Climate-KIC in Europe that are customised to the Australian market. Through our delivery partners across Australia we provide access to mentors, decision makers, investors and research expertise. https://climate-kic.org.au/our-programs/
