youthinkgreen Egypt is excited to be organizing Climatelaunchpad competition for the fifth time in Egypt in a row!
Youthinkgreen Egypt has been active since 2013 focusing on fostering Sustainability & Entrepreneurship among the youth sector via our educational programs and events, pushing hundreds of entrepreneurs on the innovation road to create clean solutions to challenges in renewable energy, energy management, water sustainability, waste management, and Water Energy Food Nexus.

The competition phases start with submitting ideas through the online application form, the selected applicants will join our physical Bootcamp and online follow-up coaching sessions, and following this, applicants will pitch in front of a National Jury in the National Finals. The top three applicants will be qualified for the Regional finals and International finals.

Applications deadline: 18th of May, 2023
Boot camp: 5th, 6th, and 7th of June, 2023
Egypt’s National Final: 25th of July, 2023

In 2022, BioPre, our first top winner, whose startup focuses on Bio-based packaging material for the food industry; Biopre reached the regional finals and was placed fourth. Laila Ayman, the Founder of BioPre, is currently working on developing the packaging material through research and development.
Our second winner is Dayra, who for the very first time, is a sustainable fashion-focused startup to join ClimateLaunchpad in Egypt. Dayra works on promoting a circular economy by selling preowned high-quality clothing and creating unique fashion items.
Finally, Akoub, ClimateLaunchpad 2022 third winner, focuses on utilizing sustainable technology for agricultural production, through pollinating palm trees and spraying pesticides with artificial intelligent drones. Akoub was able to pitch for investment in Shark Tank Egypt 47th Edition. Moreover, Creativa, a national initiative launched by The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology with the aim of promoting the new technology support standard for youth in Egypt, provided their support.
