Our Team for Germany

Meet Bianca, our National lead for Germany!

What is your background?
I am Senior Project Leader for pre-INCUBATION at UnternehmerTUM and led the Climate-KIC Accelerator for Southern Germany from 2014 to 2017. I regularly conduct bootcamp workshops, support clean-tech startups as a business development coach, and previously worked as a Startup Consultant for TUM. My educational background is in business administration and mechanical engineering.

Why did you become a country lead?
I collaborate with clean-tech startups on a daily basis and regularly find myself inspired by the incredible breadth of innovative ideas in development. This competition provides entrepreneurs another platform and incentive to tackle the greatest challenge our society faces and I am motivated to help bring these ideas to fruition.

Why do you think this competition is so important?
An innovative concept is only the first step. Without the proper support, mentoring, business development and funding, many (possibly groundbreaking) ideas fail to ever take flight. ClimateLaunchpad gives forward thinking entrepreneurs a chance to turn those ideas into reality.

How does your organisation support cleantech start-ups?
UnternehmerTUM is a leading center for Innovation and Business Creation at TU Munich. Entrepreneurship and technology are key elements of competitiveness – they create value, lead to new jobs and accelerate growth. UnternehmerTUM runs the Climate-KIC Accelerator for Southern Germany and supports cleantech start-ups to turn the climate challenge to a business opportunity. We offer founders and startups a complete service from the initial idea to IPO. A team of experienced entrepreneurs, scientists, managers and investors support startups with development of products, services and business models. Our experts actively mentor with building up their companies, matching talents, market entry and securing financing.
