Our Team for India – Uttar Pradesh
Meet Siddharth Bishnoi, our National Lead for Uttar Pradesh!
What is your background?
Engineering (Chemical) from Manipal University, India & MBA (Finance & Entrepreneurship) from Macquarie University, Australia
Why did you become a country lead / why does your organisation want to arrange ClimateLaunchpad in your country?
Although we’ve been in business for 5+ years but we still call ourselves a start-up. In our journey from knowing nothing about the start-ups to being named as one of the top 10 women lead start-ups in India in 2017 (much thanks to my co-founder Pallavi), we learnt a lot of things the hard way. And as much as we enjoyed the journey, it could have been a tad bit easier with a little bit of positive guidance. With ClimateLaunchpad, we aim to bridge this gap and help the future climate change entrepreneurs to make this world a better place.
Why do you think this competition is important?
To provide and promote a platform for young entrepreneurs with green business ideas in climate change. It is the need of the moment and the best way to bring a change in this world is to shape the upcoming generation.
How does your organisation support clean tech start-ups?
We work in climate change – renewable energy, water, waste management and are always keen to partner up with other start-ups in similar sector from different parts of the world in search of synergies. We are also proactive volunteer mentors for young entrepreneurs seeking guidance in early stages.
