Meet our National Lead for Mexico, Tec de Monterrey
What is your experience?
Tecnológico de Monterrey is a private, non-profit, independent academic institution founded in 1943 thanks to the vision of Eugenio Garza Sada and a group of entrepreneurs from the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. Since its founding, entrepreneurship has been one of the institution’s core pillars. We run one of the region’s largest startup festivals, incMTY, and support founders through a strong network of incubators, accelerators, and its innovation district, DistritoTec. Our ecosystem enables startups to access corporate partnerships, pilot opportunities, and a vibrant community of innovators.
Why did you become a national lead?
At Tec de Monterrey, entrepreneurship is a key driver for developing innovative solutions to climate change, empowering students and startups to tackle environmental challenges through technology and sustainable business models. Through its ecosystem of stakeholders, Tec fosters ventures that turn climate action into scalable, real-world impact.
Why do you think this competition is so important?
We believe in sparkingearly innovation, engaging diverse talent, and supporting the development of bold ideas that can evolve into impactful ventures, while also building awareness and momentum around urgent climate challenges.
