Our Team for Rwanda
- What is your background?
Impact Hub Kigali is part innovation lab, part business incubator, and social enterprise community center, offering a unique ecosystem of resources, inspiration and collaboration opportunities to grow positive impact.
We have extensive experience in implementing programs that support entrepreneurs, startups, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem as a whole. Our programs have touched on themes of Disaster risk management, Smart Cities, Mobility, Circular Food Systems, and Circular Economy.
- Why did you become country leads?
We are passionate about tackling climate change through supporting entrepreneurs and innovators. The CLP initiative aligns with our vision of becoming a hub that supports entrepreneurs who are committed to contributing to environmental sustainability / circular economy.
- Why do you think this competition is so important?
This competition is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to get started on their cleantech ideas. In addition to being trained and coached, the entrepreneurs will have a chance to compete on national, regional and the global level, and as well as become part of a global network of fellow green entrepreneurs.
- How does your organisation support cleantech start-ups?
Impact Hub Kigali implements projects that support entrepreneurs that want to contribute to environmental sustainability / circular economy. We do this through a range of innovation challenges, bootcamps, Design Thinking workshops, as well as Ideathons and Hackathons to enable entrepreneurs/startups to develop their innovations.
