Meet our National Lead for Singapore
What is your background?
Hi! I’m Rebecca, Founder of Better Earth Ventures, and I’ve spent the last 17+ years building and backing businesses that tackle real-world problems, especially in agrifood and climate tech. I’ve had the privilege of working with over 370 startups around the globe, helping them scale solutions in everything from water resilience and sustainable supply chains to clean energy and environmental monitoring. Along the way, I’ve collaborated with corporates, governments, and accelerators to bring fresh innovation into some of the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
Why does your organization want to organize CLP in your country?
Because there’s so much potential here. Singapore may be small, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to innovation, regional influence, and its role as a sustainability hub. We see the CLP as an incredible opportunity to bring together ambitious founders, global expertise, and regional partners, and build real momentum for clean-tech solutions that can scale across Asia-Pacific. It’s about showcasing what’s possible, and creating a springboard for founders who are ready to go further, faster, and more responsibly.
How does your organization support clean-tech startups?
At Better Earth Ventures, we help founders navigate that tricky space between bold vision and practical execution. From opening doors to local and regional partners, to supporting pilot projects and market immersion, we provide tailored support that reflects where each company is at in their growth journey. Our network spans investors, corporates, and policymakers, and we work closely with them to ensure startups have what they need to make a real impact, not just in Singapore, but across the wider region.
