Super Efficient DC Appliances like Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Freezers, Fans, Pumps and Lights enable drastically reduced power & energy. They run directly from the DC of the solar panels without any inverter. A smart nano grid which monitors the power availability in the panels and the load demand, automatically decides to run the appliances from Solar, Grid Power or both. Excess energy can be fed back to the power grid. For remote areas without access to grid, battery storage is possible. Due to the much lower demand for energy, the battery capacity is drastically reduced. Compared to conventional solar system, in Basil system, the CAPEX is reduced by at least 50% and the OPEX by around 75%. Reliability of power & its quality is assured. The system enables “Clean & Affordable Energy for All” in line with UN SDG 7
