Budapest Textile Room / Short: BP Textile Room

A showroom and a platform connects regional, sustainable fabric suppliers with art universities.

Budapest Textile Room connects regional, sustainable fabric suppliers with art and design universities. In Central-Europe only, there are 15.000 design graduates each year and around 50.000 textile manufacturers but these two often never find each other. In this region, we will be the first to provide such service with no competitors.

Our solution is a Budapest-based showroom and a digital platform where we make the most innovative and sustainable textiles easily accessible for regional universities and research centers. Through these we connect regional sustainable fabric manufacturers with young designers, who become their new potential customers.

Samples are small pieces of fabric, representing the full range of fabrics available in a portable format. First we build a fabric sample collection from regional suppliers along with a digital database. We already have samples from 20 european companies which we want to expand to 100 suppliers.
