Cassaplast

Biodegradable, compostible and reusable bags to create positive climate impact.

Pitch

In response to the global challenges poised by conventional plastics, our start-up seeks to produce biodegradable plastics from cassava peels which is both an agricultural and industrial waste. This green alternative is safe for human use, leaves no trace of carbon footprint, reduces air pollution caused by burning of fossil-based plastics, reduces plastic waste in oceans and serves as compost to enrich the soil. Our products are affordable and have a huge demand on the market as the growth of the bioplastic business is expected to rise in the future. Our team has a vision to reduce climate change and protect the environment by promoting and supplying our products to other businesses.
