Sustainable production of the materials and fuels of a cleaner tomorrow

Pitch

Around 1m tonnes of waste construction wood is landfilled in the UK every year. This is economically and environmentally unsustainable as it leads to leaching of harmful substances while the economic value of the wood is lost. At the same time, bioderived products suffer from high feedstock costs.

For £50 per tonne of wood, we enable companies to turn any kind of woody material into feedstocks for commodities. Our BioFlex solvent process makes use of even the most contaminated types of waste wood, which can’t be recycled and is often landfilled. Like this, we enable the use of waste and therefore offer a lower feedstock cost to producers of bioderived products while improving the environmental performance of both the production of bioderived products as well as the disposal of hazardous waste wood.
