We are facing some of the toughest challenges we have ever faced: a global economy reliant on limited resources, and spiralling global warming caused by ever increasing emissions of greenhouse gasses (GHGs)- but the growing bioeconomy is showing a lot of promise in addressing the economical, ecological and social impacts of these challenges.
Our mission is to pioneer engineered biotechnological solutions which both reduce GHG emissions, and cut our reliance on fossil-fuel based products, producing them cleanly, economically and sustainably.
Our technologies will take polluting gasses such as CO2 from industrial processes, and convert them to high-value platform chemicals which would normally be produced from petrochemicals. These processes harness the power of synthetic biology, engineering and energy management, and we will license them through strategic partnerships.
