A plant-based surfactant to replace petrochemical surfactants in cleaning products

Pitch

Surfactant are the main component in every cleaning product that we used in our home from laundry detergent to shampoo. Unfortunately, the most used surfactant known as linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) is a petrochemical compounds with over 4 million tons consumed per year. Although green alternatives to LAS have been developed, they have low performance and higher prices. In Ecosaf, we have develop a 100% plant-based surfactant from waste that performs as well as LAS. Our surfactant has the potential of change the game in the surfactant industry towards a more sustainable and green industry.
