EnergyUP mobile app connects to smart meters and enables people to follow and predict their energy consumption, compare it to relevant other households, and learn through socially rated tips on more efficient behaviour. You can use EnergyUP even without a smart meter to help you to save and improve on the behavioural patterns through personal or common goals and challenges. Those common goals and challenges will be incentivised by local initiatives and also for supporting the developing countries. For instance, a housing association can subscribe together to reach a saving goal, until they are able to support deploying solar panels on their building. EnergyUP raises awareness for the environmental impacts of energy use, changing the mindset and behaviour of users in order to achieve efficient energy use.
EnergyUP is developed as part of the EU research project CIVIS (civisproject.eu).
