With EthiCoin we track, measure and reward sustainable actions with our mobile application. In our MVP we focus on active commuting, so we reward walking and riding the bike to work. We pay our users the societal benefit they produce and by this we increase their purchasing power. The users also receive statistics about their impact and can track their progress through achievements and milestones. The EthiCoins can be exchanged for meaningful discounts at our partner shops. We bring new and loyal customers to the partners by strengthening their green image, showing them to our users and publishing their discounts. We want to avoid becoming a green washing company, so when we recruit partners, we want to see how sustainable their operations and products or services are. The partners pay us a small (2-3%) fee after all purchases involving an EthiCoin discount. The size of the discount and the fee varies from sector to sector as well as from partner to partner.
