Biogas is a renewable source of methane as a fuel but comes accompanied by diverse impurities and a large concentration of carbon dioxide. Correspondingly, biogas upgrading to biomethane is complex and energy consuming. HuB technology proposes hydrogenation of the biogas stream using an active and robust catalyst (to be developed) for the conversion of carbon dioxide to methane and for breaking down the molecules of impurities. Consequently, the biomethane productivity is increased and impurities easier removed, thus improving efficiency of the biogas upgrading process.
