JEMY

Solar Powered Lamp with a Fire Detector

Pitch

JEMY is a portable solar powered lamp and fire detector. The product is targeted at populations living in urban slums. Residents in urban slums use kerosene based lamps for their daily lighting needs, resulting in high incidences of fire and pollution. Kerosene based lamps emit significant amounts of black carbon per year, leading to warming and health risk due to breathing fumes and smoke.
Populations in urban areas are significantly increasing due to economic migration. The above problems affect populations in developing regions significantly where kerosene based lamps are popular. The aim is to form partnerships with UN organizations to serve large populace in these areas with the product and make a significant impact in reducing harmful emissions.
Future aim is to create innovative technology company in Europe that creates solutions solving climate and environmental at scale.
