The national final of CleanLaunchpad Greece was successfully concluded on Friday, October 17. The Jury appointed Necova as one of the finalists to represent Greece in the Grand EU Final in Valencia.
What is Necova about?
Necova’s solution is an innovative patent pending product that increases the efficiency of the photovoltaic panels by cooling them. It is retrofitted and by using the heat recovery technique removes heat from photovoltaic panels and uses that heat for almost free Domestic Hot Water production. So we offer an energy upgrade for the photovoltaic system and for the building also.
What did the national Jury think of your idea?
The national jury encouraged our idea based on the fact that they spotted its global potentiality and regarded it as both dynamic and extrovert. Their feedback was that we should focus on the market strategy in order to expand it.
How do you feel about representing Greece in CleanLaunchpad Grand EU Final?
Since we believed wholeheartedly in our idea, we had made strenuous efforts on materializing it. We deserved to be in Valencia among equal competitors. Moreover, it is our viewpoint that we have the potential to line up with the European innovative culture and our idea is worth reaching the global level as well. We feel proud to represent Greece, justified but at the same time our sense of responsibility increased.
What are your expectations of the Innovation Festival?
We believe that Climate-KIC’s Innovation Festival will be the start for something new. Our expectation is to be in the CleanLaunchpad final and we hope also to be the winners.
In Valencia we’ll have the great opportunity to convey our idea to Europe and we expect that the interested companies will pay the proper attention to it in order to capitalize our idea and help us to expand it globally.
