Nibbler

Nibbler is an appliance that 3D-prints objects out of trash

Pitch

The current recycling system is flawed. Much of what we throw in the recycling bin is not actually recycled and ends up in landfills, incinerators, and in the ocean. Our vision at Nibbler is to revolutionize the recycling system by allowing consumers worldwide to make tomorrow’s objects out of today’s trash. Our machine grinds the waste, mixes the resulting fragments with a resin, and allows the user to 3D print the mixture into any object.

Our main customers in Brazil will be waste cooperatives, autonomous associations of waste pickers that collect, separate, and sell waste to recyclers. By selling objects produced with the contaminated and mixed waste they cannot sell to traditional recyclers, the average waste cooperative can have an increase in revenue of $102,000. Nibbler is not only financially viable, easy to use, and environmentally friendly, it also creates a range of social benefits for waste pickers. Let’s go back to circularity together!
