Océan Vie

Drinking water through wave energy

Drinking water is one of the most precious commodities on earth, and is becoming unreasonably expensive.

Océan Vie is a revolutionary, 100% green, solution for the production of drinking water from the sea. It provides cold water to beach goers at an extremely low price compared to buying bottled water. The water is produced, and conveniently available, on-site. The system consists of two buoys attached to a mechanism harnessing wave energy, a reverse osmosis filter, an anchoring mechanism, a pipe to send the water to the shore and a water dispenser powered by a small photovoltaic panel. No fossil fuels are used for production and transportation, drastically reducing CO2 emissions. The brine byproduct diffuses in the sea almost immediately. Océan Vie heralds a new era for the production of low-cost drinking water using green technologies, making it a viable option for the whole world.
