It combines technical solutions and business training to address triple bottom line sustainability issues including: the efficient use of land, resilient food supplies in cities and reduced emissions and costs within the food industry.
The unit is a portable flat packed hydroponic growing unit powered by renewable energies. This provides nutritious food in a system that is inexpensive, intuitive to use with a low carbon foot print.
The training program is designed to help growers meet the requirements of the local urban food market they will operate within, be it local restaurants, food stores, schools, offices and health care facilities.
