Nowadays, the World still get 83% of our energy from fossil fuels… This is not sustainable!
In this sense, the European Union approved in 2018 the RED II: a 7% quota for 2nd Generation Biofuels in Transport. Now, there is a huge demand (by law) and all fuel distributors concerned about the commercial supply of this second generation biofuels.
We, from Reef, have developed a smart way to convert residues from forest, agriculture or urban activities into bioethanol. Despite applications in food or cosmetic industries, the initial focus will be as additive to be blended with gasoline as there is a huge potential of GHG savings! And also: Up to 25% there is no need of any engine changes.
Different from the competition our technology is profitable even at 3-10x smaller scales, cheaper as up to 15x and flexible like LEGO building blocks: we can use different biomasses simultaneously, increase the capacity or even do maintenance during the operation.
