RevClime

Sustainable graphene for low carbon concrete

Pitch

Construction activities are responsible for 39% of global carbon emissions, out of which cement usage itself contributes 8%. Simultaneously, various other industries are continuously emitting carbon emissions despite the availability of effective CO2 capture technologies. This is due to the absence of a high-value application of captured CO2 that can pay for CO2 capture in the first place. RevClime intends to procure the captured carbon at a competitive price and use it to produce graphene which when used in concrete can help reduce cement usage by up to 50% and thus also reduce the emissions associated with cement usage. This way, RevClime helps reduce emissions in the construction industry and facilitates climate change mitigation.
