3 BILLION people fuel their daily needs over inefficient open fires in their homes. This usage of “dirty” biomass fuels is the main driver of deforestation in Sub-Saharan-Africa and causes Indoor-Air-Pollution which kills nearly 4 million people annually.
The technologies to solve this problem already exist, but they are simply not affordable for the people who need it the most.
WE CHANGE THAT.
With Semina we created a holistic local-supply-chain around the production of super-efficient cookstoves and developed a revolutionary financing model the “CARBONCOIN”. To reach and address the needs of people living in absolute poverty (<2$/day).
WE REVOLUTIONIZE THE ACCESS TO CLEAN ENERGY by,
producing our cookstoves in local Containerworkspaces focusing on 10 SDG’s to create jobs, provide a clean fuel supply from agricultural waste as alternative to firewood and enable our users to generate an additional income through CARBONCOIN of 110€ per year (without CarbonCredits!).
