Solar Thermal is a renewable energy that is 70% efficient which far exceeds Solar PV which is only 18% efficient. It also produces the lowest carbon emissions and is easily generated on site and it has the potential to become a reliable source of energy for heating and cooling space in the future. However to date solar thermal energy collection systems made from glass copper and aluminum have been expensive and the initial investment has been cost prohibitive.
