Losses in the electrical power grid represent one of the biggest expenses for grid operators – nearly € 205 million yearly in Norway alone. Power grid operators currently lack the information and the tools to know where these losses occur.
At the same time, 200 million sensors are being implemented in the grid and in homes all over Europe, at an investment cost of € 45 billion. These sensors produce vast amounts of data which contain currently hidden and valuable information.
However, there is a huge gap in the market between the available data and the tools needed to leverage it into valuable information.
We are making software solutions that combine different types of sensor-data from the grid to give the customer insight into the power flow and losses in their grid. This insight gives the customer powerful decision support, and a real-time view of the grid’s status, making it possible to operate their grids greener and more efficiently.
