Communities living in arid and semi-arid areas face a big challenge in transportation and access to agricultural fresh produce, usually sourced hundreds of miles away. Even on successful transportation amid the myriad of challenges along the way, they still have to contend with almost stale produce on arrival, and the rapid deterioration due to unfavourable ambient temperatures. My business provides a solution by offering efficient haulage, storage and access to fresh agricultural produce. The idea is to have solar-powered haulage containers that can be converted on-site, at their destination point, into solar-powered cold storage wholesale and retail kiosks, enabling access to fresh, safe fruits and vegetables for the vulnerable communities.
