Sq.Ft

Grow your own food one Sq.Ft at a time.

Pitch

Since Maldives is highly dependent on import food, we plan to reduce the dependency on imported fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs, thereby reducing carbon emissions. Sq.Ft will be providing solutions to urban communities to grow in their home spaces, be it indoor or outdoors (terraces, rooftops, balconies, window sills etc).
We aim to get the capital city of Maldives, to be sustainable , green and self-sustaining. We are hoping the city of Male’ grow and eat local and educate the future generations on food security. The service by Sq.Ft will be in customised designs of; hydroponics, vertical gardening, edible landscaping, micro-greens, aquaponics and container growing systems. We provide service for a year for customers to get technical help on their chosen growing systems and plan out their production for sustainable consumption. We’ve got these urban spaces and by aiming to turn these spaces into Sq.Ft farms, then we’re reducing food miles by a large %.
