SUR+

Wonky fruits and vegetables on your plate in fancy restaurants!

Pitch

SUR+ aims to reduce food waste in the agricultural sector in the Netherlands. We make sure that heart-shaped eggplants from the farmer around the corner will end up on your fancy plate in Amsterdam Zuid. Not because we want to save them, but because they are the most unique crops you can eat!

SUR+ developed apps for farmers, restaurants and food banks in order to facilitate the communication between the supply and demand side of surplus products. We offer high-class restaurants access to quality surplus products in their local region for a similar price as regular A-class products. Farmers get a fair price for their products and 10% of surplus produce is donated to local food banks.

By doing so, we will be reducing the 10 to 15% of fruits and vegetables that are now waste and SUR+ will be saving up to 1700 tonnes of CO2 in the third year!
