The industrial activities are the main responsible for the release of contaminants in the aquatic bodies. Many of these contaminants are toxic and persist in the environment, causing diverse impacts in the ecosystems, and human health. On the other hand, the conventional technologies for water treatment are expensive, use several chemicals, generate large amounts of contaminated sludge and may be inefficient to achieve trace concentrations. We offer a green, and efficient biotechnology to industries that allows treating their effluents in a simple, and inexpensive way enabling aquifer discharge or water reuse.
