We turn apples into leather. By upcycling apple pulp waste accumulated in juice and cider production we create a new, valuable and useful material: Apple Leather using an innovative technology in a circular economy context. We’re a biotechnology company supplying safe, biodegradable materials to designers and creators excited about innovation. Today there is an emerging interest to create alternative materials. Ananas Anam develops material from pineapple leaves. Mycoworks grows materials from mushrooms. Fruitleather Rotterdam makes a rubber-like leather containing mangoes. Our customers are SME’s and corporations. Confirmed clients are Birkenstock, Barclays, Edun Americas and many independent designers we’ve met across industries at material conventions and through our online presence. Mikael Eydt Is A Self-driven Personality With Experience Working In The Logistics Sector. He Has A BA In Innovation Management And Sustainable Business Development From FAU In Erlangen, Germany. Mikael Is Structured, Determined And Decisive. Mark Lawther, PhD, Was From 1996-2001 A Full Professor At KU. From 2001- 2010 He Was CEO In A SME Upscaling Biotech Processes For Production Of Added Value. He Achieved Full Commercialization Of The Technology Before It Was Sold. Mark Has More Than 25 Years’ Experience In Academic/industrial Research, And Commercialization Of Promising Biotech Developments. Anne Christine Steenkjær Hastrup Has 4 Years’ Experience As Project Leader At DTI In Biobased Materials & Fiber Technology. She Has A BA In Biology From AU, An M.Sc. In Microbiology, Mycology And A PhD In Microbiology Fungi From KU. Jan Krog Henningsen Holds A MA In Project Leadership From DTU. As Mentor, Jan Knows Who To Meet, And Can Introduce Apple Leather To The Industry. Jan Has Experience Advising +30 Startups.
