Thermistance is the award winning startup from India working in the field of passive thermal management. Miniaturization and increased processing capabilities of electronic devices lead to higher heat dissipation. Increased processing capabilities lead to an exponential increase in the number of transistors. The Switching of the transistors generates heat that needs to be transferred else fail the device. We are solving the problem of overheating and failure of electronic devices due to overheating. 55% of electronic devices fail due to temperature problems. The problem of overheating is not limited to electronics, its major cause for performance degradation in the battery, healthcare devices, laser devices, high power LEDs.
To understand the severity of the problem we can see battery thermal management example if the battery operates at 20 degrees, the average battery life is 8-10 years, and if the operating temperature increased to 40 degrees, the battery life reduces to 3 years.
