Cities induce specific local climate conditions, exposing urban residents to higher climate change risks than people living in rural areas. For the moment, adaptation at the urban scale is limited since cities lack detailed information and knowledge.
The Urban Climate Service Center provides data, operational systems and services related to urban climate. Depending on the detailed monitoring, modelling and analysis of the specific climatic risks of a city/neighbourhood, we advice customers on appropriate adaptation measures on a scientifically sound basis.
The unique selling point of our services is that they are provided by climate scientists with recognized expertise, who have developed an urban climate model that operates at an unprecedented spatial resolution and is able to perform accurate climate projections for individual neighbourhoods for any city in the world.
