VETIGOAL will provide a green solution to reduce the black water treatment cost. To understand our project is necessary to remember something that everybody knows: the plants need water and nutrients to grow. Well the most of the black water we throw off they still contain resources, like water and nutrients.
Our service includes a customize design of a constructed wetland of Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides), where the plants can use the water and nutrients content in the black water for growing reducing the volume. This is a natural system and it doesn’t need any energy support.
With this, we will obtain a large quantity of biomass of Vetiver, which will be treated in a Hydrothermal Carbonisation facility, to produce a biochar and the Vetiver oil, both products with high revenue.
VETIGOAL closes the circle according with the circular economy, in line with the Europe 2020 strategy.
