Safeguarding our beautiful planet for future generations and pushing boundaries of technology are at the core of our business. At Weco, we develop innovative solutions to produce electricity from ocean waves. By harvesting the energy in waves around the world, we could produce power equal to the needs of more than 3 billion households. Wave power is an excellent form of energy to add to solar and wind power, because it produces electricity at times when there is no sun and no wind. Nevertheless, it currently is a significantly underused form of renewable energy. By developing a novel wave energy converter, we aim to close this gap in the energy transition and contribute to the combat against climate change.
