The venue

The iconic 19th century McEwan Hall in Edinburgh sets the perfect stage for our event. The McEwan Hall was presented to the University in 1897 by William McEwan, not only as a ceremonial hall for graduations but also as a gift to the people of Edinburgh.

In recent years the hall was completely refurbished to suit all the needs for large events such as ours.

After you register you will get access to our ClimateLaunchpad app with detailed information about the venue, including floor maps.

Things to do in Edinburgh

If you find some time to discover the city, it is nice to know that Edinburgh offers free entry to many galleries, museums and attractions, such as the National Museum of Scotland, Scottish National Galleries and St Giles Cathedral. Or find one of the parks and gardens. We can especially recommend the magical Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

The Independent made a nice list with 10 top things to do.

* To make it possible for each and everyone of you to attend the hottest event of the year, we decided to create several rates. If your boss is paying, please tick the corporate rate. Academics and NGO's choose their appropriate option. Are you picking up your own bill? Opt for the individual rate. We’re not in the business of checking up on you, we trust you’ll know and do what’s fair.

**Can't afford the event, but you would still like to attend? Get in touch with naomi@climatelaunchpad.org to hear about volunteering opportunities, before 17 October 2018.
