On August 25, 2023, Anza, in partnership with EIT-Climate KIC and Irish Aid hosted a Climate Innovation Networking event in Tanzania. This event showcased a wide range of innovative green projects from across the country, emphasizing the significant efforts being made in climate innovation. The primary goal of this event was to promote increased collaboration among diverse stakeholders, encouraging joint projects and initiatives focused on innovation and businesses dedicated to addressing environmental impacts and climate change.
In the face of escalating climate change challenges, grassroots innovation has emerged as a critical driver of sustainable solutions. Since 2018, in partnership with EIT-Climate KIC and Irish Aid, Anza Entrepreneurs has been Tanzania's ClimateLaunchpad competition country lead, providing a pivotal platform for eco-entrepreneurs. This initiative not only fosters green business ideas but also cultivates a growing network of alumni who are effecting positive change across diverse sectors. As the country lead for ClimateLaunchpad, Anza plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing green business ideas in Tanzania. Through mentorship, training, and networking opportunities, Anza empowers entrepreneurs to develop viable solutions to climate change challenges. The competition spans a broad spectrum of sectors including adaptation and resilience, circular economies, urban solutions, clean energy, sustainable mobility, food systems and blue economy, fostering innovation across diverse fronts.
